What golf courses would be worth seeing in a trip to the Dominican Republic.

 Dye Fore, not so much.

If you feel adventurous try to find CAYACOA CC in Santo Domingo... has a few stinkers but a bunch af really solid, fun holes.

I only opined on what I've played. It all boils down to what you prefer. The subtle nature of Petes work @ TOD shows a restraint most modern guys have yet to figure out.

 Teeth of the Dog is a can't miss. Possibly the best combination of par 3's in the world. For a caddie ask for Benjiman Forchue. He knows the course and speaks very good english. Dye Fore is very playable and not penal. Wide open, scenic and no need for a caddie. While in La Romana dine at La Casita and try the pumkin soup.

Another great Casa de Campo caddie is Pedro--the son of the caddie master.  I disagree with the previous disparagement of Dye Fore---I think it's lots of fun, a HUGE golf site, with lots of interesting holes and vistas.  The Nicklaus Course at Cap Cana is visually spectacular, albeit expensive.  The PB Dye effort at PuntaCana Resort & Club is just OK--much better is his just-finished work (or soon to be finished) at La Estancia--just 15 minutes from Casa de Campo

Also some good stuff up on the north shore at Puerta Platta.... TRent Jones if I am not mistaken. Visually stunning if nothing else.
