GCA gathering in Asheville, NC

I was going to hijack P. Young's Ross/Tillie meeting thread, but figured I might as well start a new one....


3 GCA'ers will be gathering in Asheville, NC this weekend for a round at Grove Park on Friday, then all three of us will be donning tuxes on Saturday afternoon.

Brian Noser and I in black, and one Mr. Ryan Simper in white! (his vest anyway)

As Huck instructs us, Ryan's marriage will make the % of golf architecture experienced through pics on this site v. in person to go from 50% to 90%...


To keep this on-topic....umm....Ryan's fiance' is from New Jersey, same state as Pine Valley.

Congratulations and best of luck Ryan!

Golf was the most heavily negotiated aspect of my marriage for the first five years but we figured it out eventually.  (Actually, I think I wore my wife out on golf in exchange for giving in on every other issue - probably an even trade).

I still think it's funny that Benham and Pieracci accidentally switched pants that day.

Remember the topic from a few weeks ago about Bandon in December, where many told their stories of perfectly clear but cool weather, this was February a few years back, although the gear may suggest the start of the Iditarod ...
