Interesting word choice ‘love’. Can make many uneasy. The word Like, yes ‘Like’ I can understand and can work with that. Love is just too feely and can convey the wrong message or perhaps I have misunderstood your post altogether. 

John Kavanaugh, I thought from most of his posts hates everything and keeps posting to get a reaction. But then you have got to love him for being hateful. What would we do if he was not his lovable self?

I have no problem with the word "love."  When stated publicly, it connotes nothing beyond a platonic adoration of an entity.  I love St. Andrews does not mean I have a desire to embrace it in carnal knowledge, although with balls, holes and shafts around, Melvyn might get the wrong idea.
