Michigan Golf Trip - October 1-3
« on: September 05, 2008, 08:05:40 PM »
I am planning a golf trip mixed with both GCA and non-GCA guys.   We will be playing some of the leading golf courses in the greater Traverse City-area.   So far, I've got one foursome, but I have the ability to do two foursomes.

Oh man, you're killing me.  That is my all time favorite part of the country but there is no way I can make it.  Argh.....

JWinick,

I was there a little bit ago and had a wonderful time.

Out of curiosity, what are some of the courses you guys will be playing?

I certainly hope one of them rhymes with "Brystal Mounds".  :-)

Why on Earth anyone would want to spend three days playing golf in northern Michigan is beyond me.

Have fun!!

PS - teeing off at Belvedere in 30 minutes

What's on your agenda?  Arcadia, Kingsley, Crystal?

I was just up in that area this summer and played Kingsley (fantastic), Arcadia for the 3rd time and Forerst Dunes, among others.  Summer golf in northern Michigan is wonderful and I think Michigan, as a golf destination, is completely underrated on a national scale.  I've been up that way three different times becasue it has taken me three different trips to play all of the courses I want to play.  You could never play all of them in a week.  Have a great trip.

Thank you.  It should be a lot of fun.  We are probably going to extend it into Saturday as well.

Michigan is very underated....and if you haven't played Greywalls you may be missing out on one of the top 3/4 courses in the state.

Now we only have 3 people solidly confirmed.   If one person wants to join us, let me know....
