Capilano is a wonderful place, and a great course as is. And, the club is blessed to have two young, smart, talented and ambitious green-keepers in Adam Zubek and his assistant, Jamie Robb.

This said, a lot could be accomplished through some tree removal, adjustment to fairway mowing patterns, green surface expansion, and a redo of the bunkers (for aesthetic and functional reasons).

The sixth (!), eleventh and fourteenth greens aren't original either. And, they're currently not as good as photographic evidence of Thompson's originals suggest they were. These greens should be rebuilt, in restorative fashion, if possible.

I think the fifth and thirteenth greens may have been tampered with over the years as well. If not, these greens are a tad awkward in spots too; Thompson originals or not.
