How's that!?            Sounds a bit like a rough and tumble baseball player, except, at least, the baseball players have a go at each other once in which on a 'wild' pitch.  Can't remember ever being intimidated by the size of an opposing cricketer.

No face masks and growing up, we didn't wear gloves until our senior years at high school.  Never heard of the 'body line strategy', but I remember some bowlers that could hit their target pretty well if you weren't ready for it.

Brings back some fine memories and I have sent it to my Dad who will just laugh his chops off at these. Thankyou for the link. If you have any more please let me know. As for the Body line series, Harold Jardine et al - wonderful. I remember watching a series on TV about it - great viewing.
