It rained a lot yesterday...  :)
What would you like to know.

Are you preparing for competition there or an archtiectural perspective?

They have the mid-am in a couple years.

Cheers

Mike -- I was interested to hear about the course, although weather reports help too!  I would love to her about some of the holes or see some pictures.  I have a chance to play it and wanted to know more about it before I get there.

I can't help you with the course report, but as far as the weather goes you can plan on hot and humid with afternoon storms.

Rees designed both Shadow Hawk and The Houstonian - they opened around 2000.
The Houstonian is now private, but for a while it was resort and affiliated with my gym - I played there a bunch.
The Houstonian is much more open and used to play very fast in the winter - they didn't overseed - they do now.
Both are maintained very well and have very nice clubhouse facilities.
Both have big amoeba bunkers and flattish greens.
Both have water in play on several holes.

Shadow Hawk is more parkland through pecan groves.
It is very nice.
It can be challenging - it is long from the back.
The 18th is memorable but not something I'd write about.
I can recollect several of the holes - I've played a few times.

I wouldn't call it special for golf - but better than most in the market.

Have fun.
Cheers
