My Favorite Golf Course Photos
« on: July 17, 2008, 11:04:57 PM »
I'm an avid hobby photographer, especially at golf courses. I am reorganizing my photos and found a nice small group of photos I like to call my favorites. They're all taken by me and I have others I've taken that I would consider "good", but like I said.......these are my personal favorites. Just thought I'd share.....

I'll leave them unlabelled, some are very easy, a couple.....not so much. Have fun identifying and posting your own....I've seen plenty of other good photos on this site, it might be fun just to post them unnamed and appriciate them just on the artistic quality of the photo and not so much for the prestige of the course or the hole.

Enjoy!

Great photos guys!

I've only just started taking photos of the courses I'm playing but hopefully I'll be able to get as impressive a collection as you guys have.

I recognise a lot of them but some I'm nots sure, especially as I'm not that well travelled in the USA (yet?). Any chance of letting us know where these are? Perhaps anyone else posting pictures could also make sure they list where they are? Many thanks...

Cheers

James

I assume the last one is Royal Melbourne, but where is the one right before it?

Speaking of course photos,    I noticed that the opengolf website has a colection of
official prints and collectable photos at   opengolf.allsportgallery.co.uk

There are course photos of many venues, as well as 'old' photos of past winners of the gold medal, etc.

There are quite a number of photos for sale.

Chip
Chip,
The last photo is the 6th hole on the North course at Peninsula Country Club, remodelled by Mike Clayton 5 or so years ago.  It is located at the southern end of the 'sandbelt' about 20 miles from Royal Melbourne.  Here are a few more photos of the course.

The photo above it is the 2nd hole at St Andrews Beach Golf Club.  It was the best hole in the world that I have played.
300 yards long, here is the view from the tee. Played equally well as  drivable par 4 downwind as a drive and pitch par 4 into the wind.

Though I've never been down under, I continue to love the look of the Austrailian touch to maintenance meld and styling in the bunkers.

Those digital cams are certainly getting better all the time.  Maybe they will add smello-vision in the future!  ;) ::) ;D
No actual golf rounds were ruined or delayed, nor golf rules broken, in the taking of any photographs that may be displayed by the above forum user.

#14 green at Colorado Golf Club.  Crenshaw dug this bunker out himself.  Great green complex
on this short par 4.  Teeing ground left of this view.
