European Golf Clubs
« on: July 14, 2002, 03:36:37 PM »
Hello eveyone, this is my first time on GolfClubAtlas.com. I would like to ask a question, to those of you who are educated about european golf clubs. I am currently the assistant superintendent of a top 100 golf club. In fact I have worked at 4 golf clubs ranked in America's top 100. Two of which I worked at were under the world famous Paul Latshaw. My question is this, does anyone know how or who, or what I might do to persue a job oversea's. Though our industry, offers a couple of websites to persue jobs. These websites are mainly based in the U.S. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I would much appreciate it!

Breaking into existing clubs isn't easy.  Perhaps you might try going the route of new projects. Why don't you reach out to Russell Talley at European Golf Design.  Russell might be able to point you in the right direction.  EGD has projects going in several countries, including England, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, etc.

If you are interested in Ireland, maybe you could get information at www.gui.ie - the Golfing Union of Ireland. Them might be able to point you in the right direction.
