Yes, I have to agree - no hats. And yet, I might change my mind if the hats weren't so god-awful looking nowadays. Tell me, was there anything wrong with that short-brimmed straw fedora that Sam Snead used to wear? That was a terrific hat, comfortable and stylish. Yes, its only 'drawback' was that you couldn't plaster corporate logos all over the damn thing. Which reminds me of a line by Fran Lebowitz about tee-shirts with writing on them - to paraphrase: "If no one wants to hear from you, what makes you think they want to hear from your hat?" But anyway, no hats in the clubhouse, a nice thing. But bring back the straw fedora, an even nicer thing.
