What might have the discoverer of LSD have created if he had taken up Landscape Architecture rather than Chemistry?  What might Tom Doak have accomplished if he had stuck it out at MIT rather than moving to Cornell?  Ou est les neiges d'antan?

I don't know the answers to your first two questions, but I'm fairly certain the snows of yesteryear are still in Minnesota.
