Oh my God, I just spit Coke on my screen. I think that's a great idea Casey but Mr. 400 doesn't have the GCA flowing through his blood. Atleast not like Drew, I'm happy to have an expert on the work of Plummer and Bredemus, like Drew, on this site.

On a side note we are working on a Texas GCA Trip to France. Casey have you ever been in Paris?

You guys are too kind.  Who would have thought that the Gulf Coast Plains would have spawned as many GCA'ers (and Golfweek raters) as there are?  Yes, we Houstonians will gladly take on any other city in a scratch game.

Sam,riding a cart to play.I am not tough enough to walk in August .I usually consider it the off season but I do sometimes sneak a ride. I always feel guilty when I do but I am trying to be more flexible!

We use carts, we're fat and out of shape. We all have belly shelves. I did walk 9 at Champions a few weeks ago, I was struck by how flat the greens were.

Sam is not related to me  – you can tell, he rides carts. 

The Morrow clad has sat in Judgement this week-end and decided to have Sam’s cart wheels removed and his penance is to carry the cart battery every time he plays golf for the next 12 months. Afterwards he will be Tarred and Feathered. Some have said that’s his normal appearance! 

Now I’m not saying that some of us are anti-carts, but we feel that they should be recycled (preferably with their drivers). 

GCA is a great site - you get the opportunity to express your opinion, but
don’t forget, you also must have some fun as well.

Houston golf, for the most part, is not conducive to walking.  I walk nearly every time that I play Champions GC and every time I play Memorial Park.  It seems every other course was designed for carts and housing development.

Thanks Drew, I keep telling fellow Morrow's that Houston golf was designed for riding but they don't buy it. I try and cite the 1.7 miles from 16 green to 17 tee at Greatwood as an example but nobody believes me that a golf course would be laid out that badly.
