It dates from 1882 and in the early days had good connections with the Royal Blackheath Club. In gratitude for help recieved the members donated a Cup to Blackheath that is still played for. IN 1901 Horace G Hutchinson was Captain.
The club is still around and I'm pretty sure Mark Rowlinson has mentioned it on here before.
Does it help to know it had the second oldest Artisan's Golf club in England, including "such players as... Mr Arthur Smith who went on to win the American Open Championship." ? Or that professionals have included Bernard Sayers and Willie Fernie?
