All I'll say is this: Has anyone ever seen Paul Cowley and Joe Hancock together in the same room?

I mean, if one of those guys had a split personality disorder, the other guy would be him.

If those "two" ever got together and built a golf course, the "Short" hole would be 236 yards long, and the "Redan" would be a ferris wheel.

"Their" other template holes would be shaped like farm animals.

I'm just saying.

Here's another one that you just want to point the white jackets at

His new course was once the farm where Dr. Harvey J. Kellog invented Rice Crispies, and later on, the summer vacation home of the late comedienne, Totie Fields. Paul thought long and hard to come up with a name for that one, and one night while he tried to channel Dr. Alister MacKenzie, he got Dr. Phil instead.

Now, listen to me, I've met Joe Hancock, and I know Mike DeVries (those two typically work together on GCA) and I really do know Paul Cowley.

These people listen to people like us about golf architecture. I don't think they do it because they feel like they have to---they do it because they have open minds.

George Crump had an open mind and look where it got him!

If you haven't figured it out already that's a major league "amateur/professional" or "professional/amateur" roll-reversal.  ;)

Yes, it got him an open mind. It was one hell of a tooth ache.

BTW, screw both of them, Cowley, Hancock. Throw DeVries in there too.

Paul is a nice man, but it is his lovely soul mate, Dawn, that makes him complete. I like her for liking him and I like him for being able to snow her into staying around. Enough said.

If Foulepoint is ever to be restored to its mystical magical greatness, only a collaboration and the visions of Cowley and Richardson could do the project justice...

I'm talking mushrooms, very tiny, potent mushrooms... ::) ;) 8)

No actual golf rounds were ruined or delayed, nor golf rules broken, in the taking of any photographs that may be displayed by the above forum user.

Actually, Cowley visited Foulpointe as I recall it being told.

What he said.... only the presence of the lovely lady has kept Carnac from roasting Mr. Cowley more thouroughly each year...... ;)

Who he?

Oh, Paul Cowley....  Isn't he that guy who was stalking one of the Neville Bros.?

(Or maybe it was Cecil B. DeMille?)

No, I'm pretty sure someone told me that he chauffeurs the Love Bros. around in his Coupe de Ville?

I hate when this happens ... isn't this thread OT anyway?
