There is not much golf in the area but any GCA'er needs to get down to Rockport Country Club, it's about 30 miles north of town. There is also Northshore CC, right on the bay with great views of downtown, it's in Portland.

Amongst the other private/semi-private Kings Crossing is supposed to be good (longtime home course of Phil Blackmar), I've never played River Hill or Corpus Christi CC. Pharoahs is goofy with internal OB but the last two times I played there I saw woman half naked in apartments next door. Padre Isles out on Padre Island is a fun course that's very linksy and it near to my heart as it was my summer home club growing up.

Public golf isn't much, Gabe Lozano isn't much but Oso Beach is a neat old course that used to be a tour venue. If you have any questions shoot me a PM!

Baxter Spann renovated one of the courses in corpus last year.
And Ben Crenshaw once said that the hardest course he had ever played was Oso beach ... in the wind.
When are you going to be visiting?
Cheers

P.S.
Thanks Tiger .... and sorry to see about LSU ... go Hogs...  :(

I know the project is in Port Lavaca, is the target market more Houstonians or our friends in Corpus?
