I am in Charlotte and would be interested.  To the extent there is a desire to include other courses, one potentially complicating factor is that a number of private clubs in the area (Charlotte CC, Myers Park CC and Carolina GC) are in various stages of restoration and are currently closed.

I'd like to play as well... only three hours away in Chapel Hill.

I kinda want Tom D to commit to do this before I'll take the project on.  I think Tom is only luke warm about the idea and I told him privately the ball was in his court.  Others feel free to pursue a gathering!  JC

I am indeed lukewarm to the idea.  Having a promotional event at my 26th best course (out of 26!) seems like a poor choice to me -- I'd rather spend that day looking for another better job (or making one of the ones we're building better).

You guys have different priorities, I know -- so go play it if you want, and enjoy!  Let us know the date as Jim Urbina might want to attend and explain what we were trying to do.  It's higher on Jim's list than mine, because he spent a LOT of time trying to make it right -- and because he hasn't seen some of our best work overseas!

What's funny is that I see Charlotte written in a subject title and don't even think to open the thread....then someone asks me if I'm interested and I suddenly remember that I live in North Carolina now.  Had it said Palm Springs, San Diego, Santa Barbara, or even Monterey/San fran I'd have looked.

Anyhow, if anyone wants to do anything in the area, I'd be tentatively interested.
