I posted a thread earlier this year asking if anyone had played the course. I'd love to hear your thoughts - I might play the course on 10/17.
Here is a new website that discusses the renovation project:

Thanks for the link, Geoffrey. If I didn't have to work on the 17th, I'd want to join you. I had a lot of fun there.
We had about a 30mph wind. The second hole was a fun shot with the new tees. I hit a little 5-iron knock down shot. I remember hitting 3/4 PW's from the old tee.
The approach on the 4th hole is so hard. You really need a perfectly struck shot to hit and hold that green. (Which I didn't do on Sunday!)
The 9th was a bear into the prevailing wind. Driver + 3w didn't get the job done.
12 is beautiful as always... not sure if they lengthened it though.
17 afforded me the opportunity to hit the most creative shot of the day. From a downhill, sidehill lie, with 140 in, I hit a punch 7 iron that never went higher than 10 feet off the ground, and ended up just the way I had hoped. I have never played in Scotland/Ireland, but I would imagine its a shot that I would need there quite often.
