Begging for a copy of Sunday's final round
« on: July 23, 2007, 03:59:51 PM »
Much to my horror, I arrived home early Sunday afternoon following a morning 18 to find that my Tivo failed to properly record Sunday's final round at Carnoustie.   >:(  Anyone happen to have it on Tivo with the ability to burn a copy to DVD and mail to me?

Mike, just read the hundreds of posts here on GCA, you'll know exactly what happened during the tournament and even why!  ::)

No help from me, I have no kind of recorder at all.

I'll join Mike's request too...it was a helluva finish.  I was watching in MD and didn't have my dvd recorder going either.

Mike,

you didn't miss much. Harrington played smart on the last hole, laid up to protect his lead and sank a 3-footer to beat Garcia by a shot. Romero made an early charge in the round, but then calmed down over the last ten holes, which he played at level par.

Brad, You forgot to mention the complete lack of streakers and chalk bombers. That was a highlight, too.

I am afraid to admit that I taped it with an actual VCR.  Mike, IM me your address and I will give you my VHS tape, if you have the technology (or lack there of) to watch it.

I hate to say it, I couldn't get into it this year.

Romero's round was, in fact, so boring and straightforward that he not only played the last ten in level par, he also played level par if you only look at the last 8 or the last 6 holes as well.  Steady all the way in.

Brock, thanks for the offer but someone else has promised to send me a copy of the broadcast on DVD.

I have it on my TiVo, in HD even.

Unfortunately, I only padded the recording by 1 hour, and my "tape" expired just after Sergio hit his approach to 18 in the playoff.
