You can't separate.
Sort of like building a piece of furniture and then choosing a finish....that finish can make all the difference or like a potter that shapes the pottery and then chooses a glaze.....JMO
As for post # 58....I think he did a good job in an impossible situation....REALITY...will probably be a good move for him.....

Why do you think Moraghan's was an 'impossible situation'?

Is it because HE WAS the guy who found himself in the position of trying to bridge the agronomy/architecture issue on US Open sites and such?

If a "championship agronomist" arrives at a future US Open site and on his own tells that club that they need new tees or redesigned bunkers or a green moved, is that considered championship agronomy or is that golf course architecture?

But I suppose the question is, was that the kind of thing that Tim Moraghan did ON HIS OWN, or was he acting on the instructions of others in that vein?
