Saw many turkeys...two gopher tortoises, of which one got to spend the night with us, named Sparkey by my daughter, who will let it go this morning.....and my first Florida Panther!
A female I think. I've seen tracks before but this time we got to stare at each other briefly on a trail.

You probably won't believe it but I never really smoked dope. My gig was drinking----it always felt like it made you real smart, at least temporarily.  

I did try a couple of joints on two separate occassions many years ago but I guess unlike most people it instantly made it crystal clear what a dumb shit I really am and that was not exactly the type of revelation or experience I was looking for.

I told that to my wife and she actually said that was most interesting and maybe I ought to take up smoking dope regularly.

Well I've used that line for years but I probably heard it somewhere.  Either that, or one of the times I drank it really did make me smarter and wittier!
