Tree Mangement
« on: April 16, 2007, 03:53:24 PM »
I posted a thread over the winter about the rebuild of our 6th green. The hole opens for play this Sunday and I will then start my campaign to remove trees at the corner of the dogleg. I have to convince the tree huggers and the defenders of difficulty that this is the right thing to do. I will need ammunition and you guys are just the ones to help.
1. What is the desired angle of a dog leg that promotes the option of working the ball through the dogleg?
2. How tall are trees that are too tall to clear by the average player?
3. What is the best strategy that you have ever seen when it came to convincing membership that tree removal is the way to go?
Thanks for your help.
