Bulls Bay photo
« on: April 04, 2007, 03:06:51 PM »
I'm trying to find a photo of Bulls Bay hole #1, which I've seen in the past couple of weeks but can't recall exactly where.

I'm pretty sure it was on this forum, but the search engine doesn't help out much...about the only photos I can find are actually of a bull on the Bulls Bay course.

The photo in particular shows the width of the first fairway, taken from what I believe is one of the teeboxes.

Anybody remember this, or know where it is?

Thanks for any assistance.

Jay, I was just really impressed with the lateral movement of the fairway, and the shot options off the tee, particularly with that tree at the end of the landing zone.

Brad, do you recall which thread that photo was in?

Mike, it is very possible to spend "days" on that site.  It is like crack for the GCA junkie.  Of the courses I am familiar with, the manner of presentation is the next best thing to playing the course, as the photos really do follow the route as you'd see it.
No actual golf rounds were ruined or delayed, nor golf rules broken, in the taking of any photographs that may be displayed by the above forum user.

BB 1 is a wonderful first hole - it's certainly one of the best first holes I've played.  It forgives a poor tee shot due to its downhill nature, but demands precision if birdie is to be attempted.    The approach shot to the green isn't the most difficult in the world, but it does demand concentration.

Why do I love it - it's not crazy hard, and it really gets you into the course.  You really have the feeling you're leaving the clubhouse "mountain" and are entering a place of adventure.

(Sorry for the flowery words - I'm watching The Masters' coverage on TGC :)  )
