Those other holes you mention certainly are good ones as well.  As best I can tell, the copy of the Peper book that I have only lists three holes as in the top 500 (10 in addition to four and five).  Is there a fourth and, if so, which is it?

Phil Young- Great point about how much discussion the various holes on the Black can merit in a "which hole is the best" type argument. Apart from the merits of the holes as a whole, you can generate a great deal of discussion on the merits of individual shots. For example, I think the drive at #12 is the most demanding on the course given the bunker off the tee. The most demanding approach is a close call between #5 and #15. I too have a great affinity for #15. That uphill approach over the bunker complex is one of the great shots in golf. Also, the green on #15 is one of the more interesting ones on the Black.

Andrew,

I believe GOLF magazine also listed #17. I will check on that to make sure. They listed the greatest holes of the millenium and ended with their 18 greatest.

I am unsure if it is in the Peper book.
