Well, I can attest it doesn't take much to run into a Crosby when in Georgia.

Yesterday while at the Athens County Club, a fine establishment of noble southerners, I met Bob's brother, Craig. The first thing he did was apologize for Bob.

This morning while walking the halls of St. Mary's Hospital, to say good bye to Mike's wife, Kris and thank you for her wonderful hospitality, I have the good fortune to meet Bob's other brother, Vic who immediately started apologizing for Bob.

Take that information for what it's worth....

"Is there any chance TE-P will want to argue whether he is dumping  or emptying, and this is how revisionists do it when they show up at really good golf courses?"

TommyN:

No sir, No siree!

I think Mac was just mediating, and if anyone was sitting there in that positon looking at that sight, who wouldn't?

But great shot of MikeY: With friends like you will he ever need enemies? ;) That stunning photo of yours is sure to go down in golf architecture history. If you or MikeY want to donate it to the USGA's new architecture archive I'm sure a pretty fancy-smancy value can be put on it and pass IRS muster too.  ;)

That photo of MikeY does look a whole lot like the photo of Wayno pissing on Macdonald's grave, I must say.

Come on GeneG, post the photo. If anyone gets pissed, all it means is their sense of humor sucks!  :)

TommyN:

I believe I can even tell you what Mac is thinking in that photo. As you can see he's looking directly at that "ripped earth" about 5-10 yards in front of him and thinking to himself---F...itall, next time, even I, the ultra naturalist of all golf course architects can make bunker faces that look as natural as that!!  ;)

Tom,

Check out Jim's post #6 and the link to the movie clip in Mel Brooks's movie with the piss boy scene.  Brilliant!

TEPaul

who was Mac mediating with?  Perhaps he was channeling with Max Behr.  ;)

(I know, you meant mediTating.  And my posts are full of tyops, so I shouldn't really comment).

I'm just glad there aren't any 'ultra naturalist' photos.  That would be just too much to bare (bear?).

Did I? Did I indeed?  ;)

Wayno:

The tape is absolutely hilarious.

Where was the bucket today, you shiftless, irresponsible PissBoy?

Although I'm given to be mesmerized by shiny spoons dangled in front of me... ::) I can't help but marvel at the position and shape-growth of the trees from 75+ years ago up to this day.  James, great post! There is one tree in the Dr. Mac photo in the upper left of the arched opening that appears dead then and gone now.  But the other tree in upper right looks the same!

As to the green and surrounds, while the bunkers are now more edged, stylized and clean, they are so faithful to the original's placement, and their relationship to the obvious maintained green contours as they existed then, that it is just a wonder to me.

Oh... I'm sorry, this thread is about piss boys... :-\ ::)
No actual golf rounds were ruined or delayed, nor golf rules broken, in the taking of any photographs that may be displayed by the above forum user.

Yes, Just like Engineers, they use that Godforsaken blinding white sand! ;)

I also think the place needs some condos in the back there. You see, we should never let a condo opportunity slip by...
