Lansdowne - Norman Course

Has anyone here played the Greg Norman course at the Lansdowne Resort in VA?  

Given the site along the Potomac, with additional holes routed near Goose Creek, it seems like a potentially intriguing site.

Anyone care to share any thoughts or opinions?  Is it worth a visit?

Haven't played it, but a friend told me he had to hit driver to reach the landing area on a par 3. He's a hitter of modest length, but yikes.

That was probably the 18th. From the back tee it's almost 250 to the green - all carry over a lake.

I had the feeling that at some point the thought was to have the 18th as a par 4 or 5 with a long carry approach. The preceding hole is a 660 yard par 5 with no real difficulty until the green.
