I was hesitant to bring this up before, but the mounding and earthwork on #7 did not wow me this summer. I went by 6 or 7 times. The land is almost the same as Kingsbarns so I expect more of that look. I did not walk onto the property though, so all this is from the road.

Odd thing to say if you didn't walk the property. I walked several holes and I'd suggest the land is nothing like Kingsbarns -- more like the Torrance course next door. It is a far steeper hill than Kingsbarns gradual slope to the sea -- and is set on bluffs, where Kingsbarns goes right to the ocean.

I think the earth moving and the creation of the mounds should look different once the fescue is grown in. The course looked interesting, with terrific vistas, but it didn't wow me the way Castle Stuart in Inverness did.

The land is absolutely nothing like the land or soil that Kingsbarns had.  It is a clay based site...wheras Kingsbarns had HUGE amounts of sand underneath even though they nearly ran out at the end.
