Has anyone had a chance to play golf in Alaska?

Curious as to what your experience was like?

Evan I once thought of posting the same question as we were planning a holiday trip there.  However I then saw the Doak scale. Seems to say it all.

5-Well above the average golf course, but the middle of my scale. A good course to choose if you’re in the vicinity and looking for a game, but don’t spend another day away from home just to see it, unless your home is Alaska.
Let's make GCA grate again!

It's too bad there aren't more good courses up there. With all that light we could be squeezing in 54+ easy during the summer.

I've played one round, at Willow Run in Wasilla. Pretty basic, average maintenance. But you can run into wildlife. Here is a story link to a ball-hawking fox near Fairbanks- http://newsminer.com/2006/09/29/2474/
