I'm going to Maine (Bar Harbor area down to Kennebunk) this week, is there some good stuff along the coast (maybe some links golf???)

Kebo Valley in Bar Harbor is a treat, although it is not links golf.  Very affordable too.

Phillipe, I enjoyed my round at Samoset (near Camden).  It's nothing close to links golf and, honestly, the architecture there is pretty mediocre.  But, it was a fun course all the same.

Samoset dubs their course "the Pebble Beach of the East."

Tim is correct in stating the gca is mediocre but the views are classic New England. Though might be a bit pricey for what you get, budget will be balanced by the charm and affordability of Kebo Valley

Play Cape Arundel in Kennebunkport.  Great Walter Travis course I played twice last summer.  If the wind is up at all you will find the ball bounces around like you are in Scotland althought the course is not on the coast. I don't know that there are any links courses or links land in Maine?  Great set of wild greens that will require precision coming into them.  Maybe my favorite course from last year.

Play Cape Arundel in Kennebunkport.

Also you can try Webhannet in the neighborhood, but Cape A is like a mini Garden City. As John states, don't miss it.

This weekend I am being hosted on the Maine Island Golf Tour by our guide in Maine via car, private boat and ferry starting at Portland CC. Then headed to North Haven GC and Tarratine GC, at least one of which is on the Tom Paul Trail. Unfortunately, Mr Moore's boat is full. Enjoy.

I played Belgrade Lakes, Sugarloaf and Kebo Valley in Maine last autumn. Kebo Valley was the one that I enjoyed the most. Small greens and some delightful quirk awaits you.

An architect I know speaks highly of Portlands back nine as
a nice example of very good Ross holes. Have a great trip  !!

While it is in Southern Maine, about  5 miles  from the coast, and heavily wooded,  the Ledges in York is one of the best courses in the state and highly enjoyable.
