I'm supposedly going to the desert, so I'm out, but do yourself a favor: Stop by the local Rite Aid and buy yourself a big huge bottle of No Doze. You'll need it by the 12th hole.
Kidding aside, it is probably the best Fazio routing of all time. I really think it took great advantage of a flat, featureless site but missed out on using the rail line as a really cool hazard. The cost of building the bridge over that line cost a pretty penny I'm told. All total the course cost 17 Million on land they owned, but they got the most out of the landscaping. I'm sure it costs a small fortune to maintain. blocking out all of the outside world with a huge berm of containment around most of it's parimeter.
Unfortunately repetition on many holes, as well as repetitive green-sites spells it doom early. Great clubhouse and practice facility though. Have a great time.
PS: Weather looks to be typical (yawn) SoCal this weekend, more on the high 80's side.
