Perhaps it borders on the exotic place that is Foulepoint...

Hell, I'd bring my trout fishing rod if those shimmering water courses were full of meadow browns like that one.
No actual golf rounds were ruined or delayed, nor golf rules broken, in the taking of any photographs that may be displayed by the above forum user.

I think that I took my kids miniature golfing at a place like that...does it have a windmill in front of the green that you have to hit through?

I take it this is one of the "lifelike structures"...  ::) ;D

No, Dick, that's an actual bear and an actual fish.

Not to mention an actual waterfall.

Minnesota is a strange place....

DK,

Last winter I was playing solo at Wigwam Gold for the first time. I'm walking down the fairway on one of the back nine holes and I see a large coyote near a lake about 40 yards from me. So I hit my second shot real quick and scampered away. About 100 yards further away I look back and the coyote hasn't moved.

Turns out it was a very lifelike statue placed there to keep the birds away from the lake. Seemed pretty effective to me!

I think the windmill exists at Dismal River, but in fine fashion!  It was there before the course :)

Doug,

If golfers go a little further north in MN than Mystic Lake, they can see real Bear, Moose, Timberwolf, Fox, etc.  Giant's Ridge had a mother fox camping out on the sixth tee scrounging leftovers for her fox cubs in the den.  And, I have been within 100 feet of all those animals listed above, but wasn't feeding the others out of my hands.....

Just last weekend saw a fox pounce on a varmit of some sort right in front of us while we were on the tee box.  We were no more than 50 feet away and he payed no attention to us.  Very cool!!

Jeff,

We had a real coyote on the grounds of Denver Country Club last year and this spring. It mysteriously "disappeared" a month or so ago, but not before eliminating all the cute red foxes that used to be there and some waterfowl as well.

"Disappeared"?

Don't you mean "was disappeared"?

I've had that same experience, in Northern Minnesota, with a cute little chipmunk....
