What goes around...

...comes around.

I don't think I'll ever get snippy with a slow foursome again.

Sorry Craig Rokke.

Mike and I were playing Jeffersonville Sunday and caught up to Craig's group (didn't know it was him) through a sort of misunderstanding I had thought they cut in front so I went over and asked in a rather short way why they had cut in front and if they were doing so to let us through.

Turns out it was Craig Rokke and his friends and I had jumped the gun as they had stopped at the turn.

Kyle,

Who won the brawl?  Two against four, I suppose you and Mike got beaten senseless.  Did you wake up later and finish the round  ;)

Sean,

The architecture connection is whether the course was playing firm and fast to see how hard Mike and Kyle landed in the melee.  In other words, was it the ideal melee meld?

With what I would presume to be somewhat soft conditions in the spring, I imagine Kyle made a solid divot when he hit the green with only a slight tumble, deeper than the sort of Kyle-mark and shorter than the resulting somersaults you might expect under firmer conditions in the summer.

I have this weird feeling Kyle may have put up a decent fight...

I sure wouldnt wanna piss Kyle off on a golf course, especially if he is in a bad mood!!

 :D ;) ;)

Dont know why, but I cant help but like Kyle.  Great guy for all you that dont know him!

Could have been worse Kyle...what if it was the Tom Doak, Bill Coore, Pete Dye, and Gil Hanse foursome that you dressed down!!!!!!!

Actually,

Since most of you guys haven't seen me for awhile, I can now divulge that I've become extremely huge and cut (think Barry Bonds) through a series of athletic "enhancements" over the winter.

You see, this is to be the year where I utilize new technology to the fullest, and the first step was to become really, really big and strong so that I could increase my swing speed to 130+mph.

As Kyle mentioned, the unfortunate incident was a misunderstanding based largely on a possible routing glitch by Donald Ross*, wherein he possibly inadvertedly located the back 1st tee about 5 paces from the back 9th tee, which, while creating intimacy, also leads to fisticuffs.

Fortunately, I believe this was resolved when the foursome caught sight of my massive, hulking, herculean, steroid-inflated body strolling down the 13th fairway and quickly hurried their pace.

Either that or Craig's posse simply resisted the urge to kick our butts all the way to New Jersey.  ;)

* Requisite tie to golf course architecture, per Sean's request.

I've got some good news and some bad news...

First the bad.

I've been informed that the aforementioned routing glitch may actually have been the work of that ne'er do well, J.B. McGovern, who quite mischievously, in the midst of creating 3 or 4 bunkers for every single bunker on Ross's plan (just like the SOB did at Aronimink), also probably saw the potential for creating tension among golfers by locating the 1st and 9th tees at Jeffersonville so close as to be able to hit each other during backswings.  I'm sure he knew all the trouble that would cause over the years and I bet he did it on spite!  ;)

But, the good news...I've been informed by Craig Rokke that he's looked over the GAP rulebook and nowhere in there are any mentions about restrictions on performance enhancing drugs.  So, it seems that any records I set this year will stand.

At least I have that going for me.  ;D
