Try this place for Greek dining. I've never been there but the restaurant critic for The Arizona Republic gave it 3 or 4 out of 5 stars:

    Greektown

Homey Greek fare that delivers taste and value. Pastitsio, shrimp Turcolimano, chicken Apollo and lamb capama are among the kitchen's triumphs.

WHERE:    8519 N. Seventh St.
Phoenix, 85020

PRICE:    $20 - $40

we're not PLAYING McCormick, we're just crashing there and licking our wounds in the jacuzzi and watching football.  We're doing the minimalist courses...and a warm-up round at we-ko-pa.  But I'm glad everyone likes it as a locale.  Its convenient and they've been really nice to us giving us a nice deal on a good size room.  Tom Waite has been a big help.

Jay, "We-Ka-Po" means "cart paths only" in Navajo.  For $200. An interesting golf course, but not at that price under those conditions and basically unwalkable.

A huge "AGREE"! with Jeff Stettner on Atlas. If you love fine wine and appreciate good stemware, Atlas is the place!

If Papago is a possibility, Honey Bears BBQ is nearby.  It's on Van Buren.  Their pulled pork and ribs are excellent.

Pizzeria Bianco has been mentioned.  It's worth the wait (I don't think they take reservations and it gets crowded).

Right around the corner from Gainey Ranch is a Mexican place called (I'll spell it as best as I can) Garduno's (~ over the n).  Their Sunday brunch is really good.
