Great photos, Steve!

My guesses:

1. Boston GC (don't know which hole)

2. #11 at Pine Valley

3. #2 at Pine Valley

4. #13 at Pine Valley

5. Boston GC, again

6. #3 at Pine Valley

7. "Stairway from Heaven"  ;D

Steve;

Thank you for posting photos of beautiful and inspiring golf course holes/features!

Not to be sacreligious or ignore the golf course photos, but can you tell me more re: the stone stairs?  The course, where it is, whether stone is used throughout the course, etc.   I have a particular fascination and inspiration with all things stone, as I own property on the slopes of a volcanic peak, and have, over the years, used the abundant stone there in it's landscaping.  Also the golf course I managed nearby received as well it's share of stonework!

Thanks again,
Tom

Tom,

The stone stairs are from the 6th tee down to the green and the 5th green, 6th tee combination sit up on a beautiful perch.  As I walked down the stairs I looked up and thought, "Stairway from Heaven"  ;)

And to answer your question, yes there is more stonework around the property.

I'll bet it's the number one handicap hole (#8?) at Berkshire Hills CC.

Great pictures.  The last one is Eastward Ho! (#8? 7?  I should be able to remember this), no?

I haven't made it out to Boston GC yet.  Is the green in the first picture (from the first post on the thread) really as steep as it looks, or is it just the angle?

Steve,
Post these in the spring, not at the onset of winter. ;) Thanks for taking the time to share.

Steve,
I just returned from a trip to the Cape, so your images of EH! and BGC were nice reminders of some great golf.

Have you been to OS?

Have you played OS? I think it is one of the best modern courses I have ever seen. Do you think OS is better than BGC?
