I'm starting this as a separate thread from the main Dixie Cup II thread because it's not official yet. I'm trying to get a read on the level of interest.
In speaking with Ran the other day, he mentioned that he might like to have a get-together at GCA World Headquarters (a.ka. Morrissett Estates) on either Friday or Sunday night. As Sunday is most likely when people are going home, Friday is the more likely candidate. Apparently Ran only lives 1-2 miles from Pine Needles, so it would be in the area where people are staying.
The is one small glitch that I'm still trying to get clarification on, and that is that dinner is included in the pricing of the package at Pine Needles on Friday. So I'm checking to see if they would allow some $$ amount to be removed if you went to Ran's instead of eating at the Lodge.
I'm not exactly sure what all the details would be for Ran's place. He mentioned mostly making it an outdoor event (since he has kids), but that's as far as the discussion went.
So assuming Mrs.Morrissett gives her approval, and we can work something out with Pine Needles on the Friday meal, are people going to be in town by say 5-6pm on Friday, and would you be interested in attending?
