Tommy,

Thanks for posting the photos.  You posted the south orientation of hole #11 twice, instead of putting in the west orientation on one of them.

Here's #11 from the west:

Mike,

Based on the 90-degree tees and the shape of the green, is this an homage to #9 at Kingsley?

Also, the bunkering (especially on #15) remind me of your excellent work at Meadow Club.

Scott,

It is what fit in there and works for the hole and course, as a whole.  The south tees are shorter, about 180 max, but provide the only north hitting par 3.  The west tees give us a long par 3 about 225 and a more difficult target.  The 9th hole tees and the south tees share the same area, so player travel and course signage make that a bit more challenging for a public course.

The green at #11 is difficult, with the back hill and sharp drop in the approach, essentially a ledge on a hillside.  The contour in the green is a double tier and not as skinny as Kingsley's 9th, and there is no intention of imitation, just what fits right in the spot.

Thanks for the compliment/comparison with Meadow.

Thanks for posting the pics - the course looks great!  My brother, a GR resident, is really excited about the new course.

I hope we can swing a Midwestern GCA trip for next summer...2 days in Grand Rapids and a day at Angels Crossing.
