I have Cruden Bay on the brain. What other links

course has two par 5s involving water?  Off hand I can't think of any.  There must be some.  Another thing that may be unusual about CB is that I think the par 5s (albeit there are only two) are the strongest set of pars (compared to the 3s and 4s) on the course.  Are there other links courses that can possibly lay claim to this?

I think the par-5's are the best part of Muirfield, although the other parts are pretty good also.

I haven't been there, but it has been said here that Sand Hills has the best par 5s in the world as a group.

I think Seascale, in Cumbria, is a very underrated course with three terrific par fives, all vastly different.
The 6th has a left-to-right sloping fairway and green, the 7th is a great cross-bunkered hole, and 14 plays along a bumpy fairway next to the sea, finishing with a plateau green.  

All three are probably the best holes.

Not sure many others will agree, but I thought Macrihanish's  10th and 12th might have been the best holes on the course - assuming you take 3 out of the occasion.

At Hillside 11 and 17 are probably the best holes on the course and the other par 5s, 2 and 5, aren't bad either.

I thought 10 and 12 at Mach were the best holes on the back ... but apart from 3 what about 4, 5, 6, 7, 8...

Will make it to Seascale one day but having driven across the Pennines it is hard to get past Silloth

Paul could be right about Carnoustie because most of the golf there is bland.  Ok, it is obvious that I don't care for Carnoustie.  It is strictly a no-nonsense setup that doesn't suffer fools gladly.  For sure I was a fool that day I stepped onto the first tee.

I haven't played Seascale Mark.  I can't agree with Machrihanish.  The front 4s are good enough to carry the set.  Though #10 is very good indeed.  Man, what a golf course.  The run from #1-11 is outstanding except for the 9th.

Has nobody found two par 5s on a links with water in play?  It can't be true that Cruden Bay is the only one.
