That's funny I banked on the fact that Limburger did a few courses "that were admittedly awful." It seems Mr Hoffman had the talent, yet Cornish and Whitten list everything under Limburger.

I think I will retire to Dr Suess with the kids, "Hoffman Hears a Who" may be on the list for tonight.  ;D

Love the quiz, and I'm impressed how quick some of the answers came. Dumb guys like me need the clues. :)

Well done Ian.   Shows what happens when a rank amateur in GCA history and research goes up against a pro.  He'll get beaten everytime :D

Now for #6.  All I get out of geometric design, famous and links is NLGA due to Raynor's involvement.  But I know that is too easy.  I'll keep watch and wait for the right answer.

I gave away #12 on another thread. That would be Richmond designed by Willie Park II. I'll give all the answers this evening.

Good stuff.

Fascinating picture of Dornoch.  I've seen a similar square green shot for the 17th, but I'm guessing this one is probably the 1st (old (OTM) or new (DJR)).  Am I close?

You've got a good eye. That is the 1st, circa 1904-05.

Tom,

Thanks for putting this together.  Although I was easily an 0 for 12, I thoroughly enjoyed it.  Also I learned a little bit more and at this stage in the game that is what it is all about.

Look forward to another quiz.

Dave
