Michael:

What more do you want me to say other than what I just did, a few posts ago?

Kevin said it well enough anyway - it's like SO many other issues in here... the cognoscenti find it to be crap, the real world loves it.

So perhaps it is crap.  I don't know, I don't tend to read ANY golf magazines that much (though the one I get is Golf Mag - just have received it forever).

In the end it really doesn't matter.

Of course, our friend Rihc would just say: "basic foreplay, reasonably straightforward second shot...routine, ho hum sex...what's the big deal?"   ;D

CLASSIC!
Driver to the right side of green.. no big deal...

These are wonderful pictures.  Just are they classic or modern beauties?

Well, she's hot too, and so are they... and I'm 21... so it doesn't matter.

Huck,

Sheesh, I'm not blaming you for the magazine's contents!

I grew up with it in the early 70s, through the 80's, etc., and used to wait excitedly for it each month.

My dad was the one who noticed it first.  Over time, both of us just stopped opening it.

I still read the Top 100 issue, and look at the "Best New" stuff online, if for no other reason than to bust your balls.  ;)  ;D

Ted Kramer,

What looks more naturally appealing?

Mike:

Nor do I blame you for the wussy stance GW takes in its ratings.

I just do tire of the constant stance in here, which does seem to be that we know it all and the entire world is stupid.  Hell it shouldn't surprise you I like all of these magazines, when I bother to read them that is (which is pretty damn infrequently).  But Shadow Creek sucks, GD sucks, blah blah blah when the whole world would kill to play Shadow Creek and the whole world reads and loves Golf Digest.

But let's not let this detract from the task at hand, which is to decipher the himalayas in some of the architecture recently pictured.

Tom,

Please note some of the more recent modifications I've made to said mounding (just above).

I'd say it's a true restoration.

Actually, It seems as though the old "Mae West" hole from Bel Air is finally getting its due in the modern architecture world...

No that was the equally yummy-in-her day Marisa Tomei.

In her day??  She's still got it goin' on, man.  Have you seen the new Hanes commercial with her?

Granted, I'm a little biased.  She's been a fave since the early 80's when she was on one of my mom's soap operas.

Salma's only 2 years younger than her, but they're both babes.  Salma was hottest in Desperado.  When I see her, I think of the line "Salmita!" from "Y Tu Mama Tambien".

Oh, some architecture to tie it together....that natural mounding on the playing surface appeals to me for some reason....

She is so friggin hot and way more appealing than the approach to 18 at Pine Hill. But I will say this. . .I would choose a round at Fishers over sex with any woman in the world, no question about it.

Now Ted brings up a great question, one that my buddies and I have discussed before;

the playing of which courses is better than sex with someone like Selma Hayek?

Obviously we are dealing in the fantasy hypothetical, but it is a good question.

Never been to Fishers but I'd take Ted's word for it.  NGLA rises (pun intended) to this as well.  Cypress Point.  Sand Hills.

But not many others...

And for some oversexed types, the answer is NONE.  Several of my buddies took this tack.  They obviously have no true love for the game.

I've never been to Fishers, it is at the top of my list of places that I really want to play.

I'm sure that I could easily name 25 courses that I'd rather play than have sex with any woman, I could probably name 50.

This thread is quickly getting to the question of sexual exploits on the golf course... anybody have any?

I seem to recall a certain Philadelphia area US Open venue that I've only ever seen during the day by driving through it, yet have made my way  ;) on there numerous times at night...

What the hell... no reason to hold back really...

But let's just say there's a certain course in Palm Desert that has special memories for me.  Name of said course withheld out of fear of grossing you guys out if you ever play it.

Scott:  Any ONE course they could understand, sort of.  What got me the pink shirt is when I tried to say what Ted did, that there might be over 100.  And yep, my logic was the same as yours... Of course their response was that their sexual exploits lasted longer than their golf rounds... so of course there's no winning in a shit-fight like that.
