did I just wake up on the wrong side of the bed or did some of the comments I read today about soaked La Costa seem like real whining to you too, especially considering some of the true suffering that some Californians are dealing with due to the floods?

I think it was the 87 Western Open during which the boys had to play 9 holes at the muni adjacent to Butler ....I remember them being very taseful with their comments that time...I distinctly remember one of them saying something to the effect that "Of course the conditions are n't the greatest on the muni, but we have nothing to complain about compared to what some of the nearby residents are going thru"

I've played that muni several times and it has a bunch of good holes and nothing really awful.  I think it's Oakbrook GC or something like that.  You can see one hole across the fence at Butler.

I say move the WGC match-play tournament to either Cypress Point or Seminole. (I kind of like the idea of Royal Melbourne, too, but as long as we're advocating things that will never happen, why not advocate something especially cool?)

But Paul, if they withdraw they don't get the $35,000 for losing their first match and another $20K+ from their sponsors for teeing it up.
