Am I correct in assuming it is a course by either Emmet or Travis, based on your Men's Club reference?

Not Wee Burn, Baltimore or Myopia. I believe this course can be seen in Robert Hunter's or George Thomas's book - perhaps both.

Although it would likely be Emmet rather than Travis since the latter didn't begin designing golf courses in earnest until after the period you referenced.

Maidstone wasn't there. Not in it's current form.

Neither Round Hill nor Cape Arundel were around yet. Nor was Westchester, at least not in its current form.

Not Westchester, Maidstone, Rockaway, Leatherstocking, Cape Arundel or Round Hill. The golf course is in the MidWest.

Nigel,

Chicago was already guessed and refuted.

I'm going to say Midlothian, host of the 1914 Open or Ridgemoor, designed by William Langford (of Lawsonia 'fame').

Scott - is Midlothian still in its same shape? I had thought it had been totally redesigned. Tom seemed to intimate that everything is still intact.

I'll say Glen View, but I'm not sure how the connection gets back to GCGC?

Sean,

Glen View sounds like a good anwswer, except for the GCGC connection.  1903 Open site, and Flynn designed (LI connection).  Nice town name, too.
