Could not have been any better.  The Masters a tournament unlike no other.  A putt for the ages.  A great and deserving Champion.

Barney:

Your post #44 is one incredible one---a classic Barney response albeit another unpredictable and interesting one. Don't catch me at the wrong moment Barn---or I might just try to run you for President---that is as long as there's just a little something in it for me some day!

OK I will go ahead and ask the question, after all I am always learing about things on here.  What the heck is post #44?  Are each of the posts numbered so you can somehow referance a particular one.  How about you just use the quote feature so that all of us can read what you were referring to, because for the life of me, I dont know which post you are referring to when you say post #44.  (I am assuming that you were not referring to someones number of posts for that person as that number changes on all posts once you post again somewhere else so that would not be a suitable referance method.  Besides I couldnt find anyone who was close to 44 posts that had one on this thread.)

Just curious, I need to know the substance of the referenced post if I am going to be able to support him as a future potential presidential candidate.

Turboe,

It was Reply #44 on this thread, and it continues the JakaB saga....

"I have always been as hard on Phil as I am myself...he used to reflect so many of my poorer traits....being the man-titted, bad gambler can't close the deal kind I guy I am.  Today I'm gonna forget all that and play golf with a big stupid smile and hug my wife and kids every chance I get...From this day on Phil will be the patron saint of o-fers..which I am a charter member."

See Mike,

That just goes to show you how perceptive I am.  516 posts (Technically now 517 I guess) and I never noticed that each post was numbered right underneath the title line.  I was looking around the outside edge in the margins or below for some kind of number and I didnt see anything.  There it was all along ready to bite me if it got any closer.

I am a more learned person now because of it.

That is good because in the past I have often wanted to reference different peoples posts in one of my posts and since you cannot (ot at least I dont know how to) quote more than one persons posts at one time I could never do it.  Now I can just referance the number.

Agree James

One thing that clinched it for me was in round 3 when Els was doing his walk in the woods with Will Nicholson, Phil was waiting on the tee, and rather than get nervous and/or gobble down another corn dog, he laid out a towel and did some yoga!

I'd watch out, even if I were Tiger!

Clearly we are on the same wavelength Rich..  Yes that was a defining moment!

Id say on the final day when he was looking up 13 when he heard the eagle go in and he still roled in hos putt on 12!  that for me said it all..  and did anyone think he wasn't going to birdie 18, I knew it and I bet alot more people did too!

Phil definitely earned it.  I loved the way that he went out and won the golf tournament on the back nine.  Ernie was playing terrific golf, especially on the par 5's which he was -6 for the day.  I think it will mean that much more to Phil knowing that he stepped up under pressure and hit the shots that he had to, shooting 31 on the back.

If he had won by coasting in and having everyone else collapse it wouldn't have meant as much and everyone would be saying he didn't have to do it under pressure.  I know I've never pulled that hard for anyone in a golf tournament.
