hand, that's Jonathan Doyle, then to the right I'm guessing
Jay Flemma, then (for sure) Jason Blasberg.

For so many reasons....

....reminds me of why I'm in the golf maintenance business.
....reminds me of the best course I've worked at thus far in my career.
....reminds me of the best time to golf, first one off the tee, having the course to yourself, the mow lines fresh, and the warmth of the morning sun.
....it's like the unveiling of some surreal prize, as the course materialized out of the fog and how lucky I felt to capture it at just the right moment.

My favorite picture in golf is the photo of Jack Nicklaus sitting on the fence on the 18th at Pebble Beach in 2000. It was his final open and was just a really cool picture.

I too would have posted the MacKenzie map had I been able to find an image of it.

I bought that print after my first ever round at TOC as a souvenir. It was studying the print afterwards that kindled my interest in golf course architecture.

The photo of Hogan and Palmer waiting to hit on the 2nd tee at Augusta is also my favorite. In fact, I have a copy signed by both Hogan and Palmer. I think it is probably one of a kind.

My favorite is Arnie's farewell at his last Open Championship, standing on the bridge and tipping his hat to the crowd. It almost brings a tear whenever I see it.

This is my 78 year old father at Royal County Down (6th tee) - about to shoot 82 - after lugging his own clubs to this point because his caddy failed to show. He started with a couple of double bogies and was worn out when a twelve year old school kid showed up to carry the bag.

This was the trip my father and I never thought he would make after two battles with cancer and having to walk away from golf. This was the final day of the trip and by far his best round on a hell of a windy day.

Slightly OT, but I was fascinated watching golf photographer Peter Wong take photos of the Quarry on a grey day, and then insert blue sky, wispy clouds, fall colors and better turf using Photoshop CE to make the picture better than it was.

I also saw him add snow to a Fazio course shot, and declare that he had just finished his Xmas card for the year!

I guess the point is, photography has changed forever and maybe I haven't seen my fav yet, because it hasn't been enhanced! Or, maybe I would change my mind if I knew it was enhanced.

I hadn't thought of it that way, but you are right. Except for the part about my evening on line experience......I only go on golfclubatlas, hockey and train related sites. Even then, I waste far too much time.

I recall going to Hooters.com once to get a photo for a presentation and being bombarded with porno ads endlessly for years. Not quite ready to test out the new and improved spam filters by trying it again.

The best is the Edwin Raisz map of The National.

And to make it a little bit better, The King donated that sweater to a charity auction for the elementary school in Scotland where there was a mass shooting. In a similar manner, he gave the proceeds from exhibition ticket sales at a course opening in Myrtle Beach to Habitat for Humanity.

That's why he's the man...
