I think a trip to Kohler would be great. Nuts, I forgot I was going back to The Greenbrier again so that limits my trip potential. Problems.... ;).

mmm, no jewely, no trips.....this requires more serious thought

I'd love a putting stroke for Xmas to use for the '08 season and beyond.

Happy Holidays!

Peace and goodwill to all men (women too).

Affordable golf in SoCal.

A Christmas card from Donald Trump.

The resumption of the King Putter.

A rematch with Mike Whitaker.

World Peace.

An election where we aren't tearing the country apart and screaming negatively at each other for 11 months.

A Flying Pig.  The inflatable kind like Pink Floyd used in concerts...with big tusks and laser beams for eyes and which blares "One of these Days" out a hidden speaker in its belly.

Speaking of inflatable animals, a giant inflatable Chilly Willy the penguin with a sign that says Merry Christmas for my dad (his brkoe last year when a dog bit it and I can't find a replacement for him anywhere...)

U2's "Under a Blood red Sky" concert video from Red Rocks released on DVD (what's the freakin hold up???)

That's pretty interesting, Lou - our lists are pretty darn similar.  Just change SoCal to NorCal, delete the Trump card (what a pun, I slay myself) and the rest are exactly what I'd want... including another crack at Mr.Whitaker, who beat me senseless at Cuscowilla.

no need to thank me Jim :)

Lou - I'd really like nothing more than for you have to have a wonderful Christmas, but I couldn't take another whipping like that... it would make me quit the game!!!

Seriously, I would enjoy nothing more than spending a day with you on the golf course... as long as you don't call me a communist again!!!

I'd enjoy giving the Huskster a shot at reclaiming his club championship cap (which I'm sure he is holding in a safe place for me). My victory at Cuscowilla was a gracious gift from Mr. Huckaby who was not having one of his better days. It reminded me of a saying one of my buddies likes to share with us when something unusual happens on the golf course (like my win over Captain Tom): "Even a chimp will type a word every now and then."

Pass the bananas.

I would have added a match against Thomas Huckaby, but since being relegated to the couch in the GCA.com fraternity house, there is no chance I can get on his dance card.

Mike Whitaker,

Let's be clear for the record.  It was you who said that your Republican friends call you a communist.  The only exception I took to anything you said was that conservatives are not compassionate.

As to the whuppin', that was my best round in a couple of years, no doubt inspired by the excellent company and outstanding golf course.  Had I putted like I often due (and Huckaby can attest to how ugly that can, like at the KPIV when he savaged me), the outcome would have been quite different.

I do need to add a round with Jim Thompson at his golf course to my list.  It is supposed to be outstanding, but more important, Jim is a great guy with a remarkable, inspiring story to tell.  I should have but a fraction of his attitude and courage.

For my wife to get as much pleasure at of the game as I do or close to it.
To meet more GCA'ers like I did on my trip to Nor Cal.  It made a great golfing experience.

Jim,
I'm taking Laurie to Paris in April - the things we have to do just so they let us keep playing golf  ;)
Mark
Mark, my Paris trip is October 2008, same rationale.  Ain't it awful?

Your putting that day was amazing... you made everything in site, just pouring them into the hole. As much as I wanted to hang with you in the match, that putting exhibition was a beautiful thing to watch. And, the result was a Southern Fried Ass-Whuppin' for me!
