A brief prelude. These photos were shot last February or March, before the back 9 was open. I was there early and woefully underdressed; froze my butt off but prevailed upon head pro Ed Hoard to make me some really awful coffee that nonetheless stopped my jaw from clacking.
#17, Mike's massive punchbowl green, will have to remain a mystery as my 3rd set of camera batteries blew out in time to miss it.
#1 tee
#2 green. photo doesn't do much. very tough to get a decent angle on this difficult skyline green
#3
from behind #4 green. very challenging par 3
Several shots of the spectacular #5, beginning somewhere in front of the forward tees. Par 5
#6 green. again, doesn't look like much but it's actually quite interesting. you can bounce an approach off the knob front left (not really visible, but use your imagination) to get to this pin placement. back left would appear to be quite difficult. there's a menacing ditch behind the green.
#7 green as seen in earlier post
#8 green. Par 3
#9 green. very delicate downhill approach with all kinds of problems when you miss
#10 i can't wait to play this hole
#12
#13
3 shots of #14, another hole i'm really looking forward to playing
Not having played it, I believe #15 may be driveable:
2 shots of the potentially tragic #16 (punchbowl green at #17 in the background of second photo)
these are 2 angles on the green at the par 5 #18. another hole that seems as though it could be really special
this is behind the green:
this is off to the right;
what the heck.. here's my daughter, Ava, and her pet parakeet "Ozzie."
