Again, I think Silva deserves credit for finding golf holes out there at all.

My 'tagline' was just a response to your earlier post that the original owners might have saved their money. BTW-I think they went broke, so your point may still be valid.

I am in total agreement with you regarding Silva's ability to find these holes in such difficult terrain. Judging by his other courses in New England, that is one of his calling cards.

Ed-Even my father in law loves The Shattuck and he's a rank beginner. His theory is: "I can lose 'em on any course. At Shattuck, I have a built in excuse and the views are better." Being a glutton for punishment, I'll be teeing it up there at least 3 times this summer.

   What part of the website has what you are talking about? I quickly scanned a few sections and didn't find what you are alluding to.
    I like your father in laws "tagline". It reminds me of a course up in Michigan a friend was telling me about called Brigadoon, apparently they call it Bring a dozen.

BTW-I have heard of Brigadoon, but I thought you had to be Scottish-and dead-to visit. I'm of Irish descent and still alive, so I have substituted Pacific Dunes, or Ballybunion if I want to take my passport.
