you should have seen him in vegas. sunglasses on in the casino, pinky ring... some thought he was on the sopranos, others thought he was some mover or shaker..  I think even Emeril Lagasse kissed the ring or some other chef.

Sorry its taken me so long to respond, I've been trying to shake this hangover I got from a night of hanging out with Sophia Loren.

Poor Sophia, I'm sure she had to undress me and put me to bed! :)

Huck, The 11th is a great hole, albeit one that stirs the soul with every human emotion while standing on the tee and trying to contemplate how to play the hole! At least for me. What pins?

A birdie and par, I'm still impressed since you first told us when you got back.

Adam Collins, While talking to Noel earlier, I thought to myself that I'm going to have to come-up with my Great 18. The only problem is that Huck was once again right on--it might have some obscure holes in there and figure out to a par of 68 or 74! :)

Tommy, my golf accomplishments are so few and far between, the world does tend to know about them quickly.

 ;D ;D

And 11 is a fantastic, soul-stirring hole without a doubt.  One that's fun to succeed... or fail on.

Someone posted this recently (wish I could properly attribute it), but it seems like a good time for a repost:

Little disappointed that Heathery In didn't make the cut. It, along with #10 Riv, should be copied more.

George,
Heathery-In is an excellent hole, especially on the green. But do realize when it came to my Top Three, I had to leave Hole o' the Cross out of there too! Probably one of the strongest par 4's on the course IF your considering the Road Hole is actually a three-shotter.

Major kudos to the RAF for managing to conceal a fighter airbase with 5,000 employees so well in the background of that pic of 11.
I feel sure they did it for the best possible architectural reasons, of course!

God, that Hole just sends shivers (coupled with some not inconsiderable sphincter twitching).

Since #14 at the Old Course is one of Tommy's favorites, here are a couple of pictures of Hell Bunker that Mark Studer had asked me to post a while ago and I just got scanned.  Mark is on the right in the first picture and on left with his wife Rosemary in the second.

The first one is from 1997 and the second is form 2003.  The changes should be obvious.

Tommy has 3 pretty good holes for his top 3. I cannot argue with any of them. I tend to like both 15 at cypress and 8 at pebble as much as those three however.

Tommy's Eden

lightened and corrected a bit

We had a thread about the new tee position for #12 a wee while ago. Looking at the pic, I would guess it's just about in line with that pin position or maybe only slightly left of Strath.
If Eddie sees this, maybe he could confirm?
If I'm right, what will it mean for players in THE Open waiting on the 11th Tee? Will the Round take EVEN longer this year?
