South Carolina Roll Call
« on: October 22, 2003, 10:20:24 PM »
For South Carolinians Only...

I am working on a project that might be of interest to GCAers who live in South Carolina. This project is very "architectural" in nature and I could really use the advice and input from those of you in SC who frequent this site. Sorry to be criptic, but this project is not a "done deal" and I can't be more specific in print.

If you live in SC, have a true love for this site, and have had the good fortune to visit a number of the "great" courses in our state, please identify yourself here or contact me via email (mwhitaker@clemsonsports.com) so I can outline the details for you. You must be a resident of SC.

Thank you, in advance, for your help.

Mike,

Just sent you an email.  As I mentioned there I am embarrased to say that tonight was the first time I have even looked into GCA in probably 3 weeks that is unheard of.  I need to stop working so hard.

Things are crazy here.  I will fill everyone in on everything one of these days.

Michael,

I'm curious of the South Carolina resident requirement...  Can you explain/expand...?

Curious from Florida,

Steve

Steve - Nothing mystic or sinister... we're just interested in talking with people who live in SC. Pretty simple.

Southern snobs!  My ex-sister-in-law (my brother-in-law's former wife) still lives in Greenville.  Does that count?

Lou - Nice try!

I just want to give GCAers who live in SC the opportunity to be part of something new that can really benefit SC golf. It is a great project, but only applicable to SC residents.

So far I've heard from one South Carolinian... and several wannabes. Come on, I know you're out there.

Keep in mind that I'll be bias toward Kiawah (as it signs my paychecks), but keep me in mind.

Courses are in great shape...  The new greens at The Ocean Course (or what we like to call TOC East) came in better than we expected.  Looking forward to this November's World Cup (on ESPN and ABC if anyone is interested...).
