Baltusrol over Shinnecock? Maybe for you Cliff but oooh, no way for me. It isn't even remotely close. Firstly, I'd play the upper more than the lower if I was a member. Frankly, as good as Baltusrol is as a club, I can think of many other clubs I'd rather belong to. The primary factors in selecting Shinnecock Hills are the club itself and the quality of the golf course. They are equally great. The course is simply magnitudes better than the two courses at Baltusrol combined. Of course, many accuse me of a bias.
However, if we're talking about the value of two courses, the best club in America is the first in America with two courses, without a doubt. The two courses are refreshingly different and excellent. Many would accuse me of a bias there as well.
