Philadelphia: My triumphant (albiet brief) return
« on: April 06, 2007, 01:27:07 PM »
Achtung,

To the Philly mafia:

I shall be returning to the area for a week or so from May 3 until the 9-10. The weekend of the 5th and 6th is consumed with a wedding and trip to PSU, but I'll be at my parents' in Warminster with my girlfriend for the remainder of the time.

I'd love to meet up for golf with anyone and am keen to play Lederach, Reading and Jeffersonville again - as I miss them dearly.

Who's game? I've had a warm winter...  ;D

 Kyle,

Try Deerfield in Reading's place. Let's see what you think.

Mike,

I've been reading that thread with interest and will probably have the oppurtunity to play as I will most likely be playing one of the DuPont courses during my time back in the area.

That's possible, I'll be in Quakertown for a wedding on that Saturday.

If you have some free time while in Happy Valley, maybe we could get together.

I was actually going to get ahold of you when I finalize times.

White Course?

This would be the week after finals, I think. When do you return home?

I actually think that that is the weekend before finals, schedules got pushed back this year. But I only have one final as all of my design work is due the week before.  So I should be able to get out and play.

Kyle,
Based on work schedule, I may be able to swing May 3, 9 or 10. I would love to check out Jeffersonville or Reading or consider a second visit to Lederach.
I should get up to SCC and visit Jim again this year!

Dave,

Agreed. I think you would quite enjoy Jeffersonville as the battery of work by Ron Prichard does well to show some of the touches that Ross/McGovern put in the course.

Amazing place, considering that there really isn't a weak hole.

Reading is pure quirk and worth the trip up 222 for you.

Kyle,
It sounds like Jeffersonville should be first choice. Keep in touch and we'll see if we can swing one of those days. ;)

May 8 will work well for you to make the trip down to Delaware.

Now that you're going to be living in Florida, I think you need to turn in your passport and apply for official permission to visit Pennsylvania.  Ex-pats are not granted automatic return status.  I'll see to it that Uncle Eddie reviews your application sometime during his last term in office.  Maybe you can be one of his pardons; otherwise I fear you are SOOL  :-\

Wayne,

How about you drive down 95 a bit on the morning of May 5, and I'll get off at the Naamans Road exit and we can settle this passport issue once and for all. We'll stay in Delaware lest I sour the soils of the mighty Commonwealth.

You have been away a long time, Kyle.  Delaware is now known as South Pennsylvania.  New Jersey wanted to become East Pennsylvania but we told them to forget it and to go ask New York.

Sorry, we'll have to meet somewhere below the Mason Dixon line.  My second, Tom Paul, would like it to be in a JR's parking lot because the smokes are really cheap.

Then I'll stop south of the Millard E. Tydings memorial bridge across the Susquehanna and send up a flare to let you know.

With what?

But in all seriousness, I appreciate the invite but that is probably a bit out of the way for me this time around. I'll be back over the summer for a longer period of time and would love to finally take you up on your offer.
