I'm posting this on a very old thread just for reference purposes. Calumet CC is an NLE course walking right now and should be redeveloped next year. It has been granted temporary reprieves over the last few seasons and its been open to the public, with fading maintenance.
Here are the Ross plans, the 1939 aerial with some colorization and lines drawn to indicate the holes, and the modern aerial with the original hole lines still shown. Note that on the 1939 aerial, I show red lines where I-80 was constructed in the 1930s.
The construction of the Hwy disturbed 7 of the original holes. Packard/ Wadsworth had to rearrange things to get it to work in the late 50s and the end result is that 9 of the original holes still basically exist, but with some slight alterations over time (tees moved slightly, bunkers tweaked, and in the case of a few holes, the green was changed/ expanded/ shifted. As you can see from how much of the course was cut out with the Hwy, they had a challenging task.
